Methodology
The current models are deterministic planning aids. They have not been calibrated across every listed aircraft, payload, battery condition, or operating environment.
Mission requirements
UASyard retains the user’s requested image detail separately from the aircraft-specific achieved value and any profile or regulatory height limit. A deviation must be identified; the target is not silently relabeled.
Coverage and geometry
Area routes use camera footprint, requested side/front overlap, speed, trigger interval, heading, exclusions, launch legs, and airframe turn behavior. A footprint-sampled audit reports coverage percentage, overlap, trigger plausibility, and exclusion crossings. Fixed-wing/VTOL transitions remain planning estimates.
Energy ledger
All internal calculation units are SI. Usable energy equals nominal battery energy multiplied by the usable fraction. Remaining energy equals usable energy minus mission energy, and displayed remaining percent uses nominal battery energy as its denominator. Mission energy includes modeled phases plus planning uncertainty. Recharge uses energy, charger input, efficiency, and taper assumptions from the same ledger.
Recommendations
Hard mission failures are separated from weighted preferences. Eligible aircraft are scored on full completion, sorties/field labor, reserve, wind margin, image target, cadence/recharge, and evidence quality. Rankings expose their component scores and tradeoffs.
Regulatory method
Regulatory states separate operational waivers from airspace authorization. Failed, incomplete, or absent FAA data remains unresolved. UASyard does not submit, approve, or guarantee a waiver or authorization.
